The Daughters of Divine Charity,  is an international papal congregation with provinces throughout Europe, North and South America.     Franziska Lechner founded the Daughters of Divine Charity, in Vienna Austria in 1868, rooted in the Rule of Saint Augustine.

Our Congregation has grown into twelve provinces and has expanded into nineteen countries including five very active missions which   are located in the countries of Albania, Bolivia, Croatia, Uganda and our newest mission site is in Ecuador.  These missions are supported by our provinces or the Generalate.  Our Motherhouse is located in Vienna, Austria and our Generalate is located in Grottaferrata, Rome.  As of 2011 there are 1,162 Daughters of Divine Charity serving around the globe keeping alive the charism of our Foundress, Servant of     God, Mother Franziska Lechner.
